Lorraine H. Davis, 90, of East Fallowfield died on Tuesday, May 27 at the Paoli Memorial Hospital as the result of a car accident. She was the widow of the late Henley Davis, who passed away in 1980. Born in Kennett Square, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Hazel (Mullin) and Paul Hartman. An area resident most of her life, she was retired from the Admissions Office of Brandywine Hospital and as the Switchboard Operator at the former Coatesville Hospital. She was a member of the Hephzibah Baptist Church and volunteered in the kitchen at City Gate Mission. Lorraine is survived by her two sons, Michael H. Davis, husband of Maryann, of East Fallowfield and James E. Davis, husband of Mary, of Atglen; one granddaughter, Anisha Davis, one great- granddaughter, Chelsea Lorraine Davis; and siblings, Marjorie Lafferty, Harold Hartman and Janet Seekins. She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Hartman and granddaughter, Chelsea Davis. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 2nd, at the Hephzibah Baptist Church, 2237 Strasburg Rd., East Fallowfield, PA 19320, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. The viewing will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lorraine’s memory to the “City Gate”, 17 N. 7th Ave., Coatesville, PA 19320.
